Today, as told by Emma and Kathryn

Today Mommy got a little frustrated with us.She was going through our clothes and calling us "weeds" and asking why we couldn't grow out instead of up, especially since everything she bought just last month is already too short. And well hey at least our feet are getting fat because our shoes are feeling a little tight nowadays.

We kept bothering her and asking her for juice or a snack or to change the channel or to play Hi Ho Cherry O with us or to wipe our noses or our butts. She said that it was useless trying to do anything productive with us around and she would be better off beating her head against the wall. We told her not to do that because then she might hurt herself. She said obviously cabin fever had gotten the best of us. We knew she was sick but didn't know that's what she had, and it does not sound like a fun disease to get and we do not want it.

So she decided that we would get out and about and spend some of our Christmas money. First, even though she really wanted to go to La Madeline for lunch, we said no way and forced her to take us to Olive Garden. And while we were there she said something like how it was a good thing she hadn't made any New Year's resolutions since she ate about 6 breadsticks and a boat of Alfredo sauce, but she had a salad so that ought to offset it. And then we made her take us to the mall!

We went to the Disney store and spent our Disney Dollars which is just like real money except it has princesses on it and princesses are so much prettier than presidents! We got some really cool figurine sets to play with that of course Mommy was swearing at when she got home and tried to open them because apparently the people that work in toy factories and package the toys must hate children, and even worse, hate their mommies!

Ooh, and then we went to Build a Bear Workshop and made some new friends with our money from Uncle Gene. That money had presidents on it. But we didn't get bears at Build a Bear, we got a hippo and a triceratops. We had a lot of fun stuffing our friends and picking out new outfits. I don't think Mommy had as much fun because she kept getting stuck with the double stroller and there were a lot of other mommies bumping into her so she used words like "personal space" and "patience" and took lots of deep breaths. We don't know if she was talking to herself or to them. Then she said that was enough fun for the day and it was time to go home so she could finish up some chores. And do you know what, she walked right by the candy display and didn't get us any! She can be so mean sometimes!

When we were driving home, Mommy said she had a bit of a headache and maybe she did too much too soon. She also held her nose and made a very funny face. We asked what she was doing and she said she was trying to pop her ears. So for the next ten minutes we sang as loud as we could POP, POP, POPPING EARS, POP, POP, POPPING EARS! Mommy turned around and looked at us and asked us how much did we like our new buddies and how would we feel if they went flying out the window. We were quiet after that.

So we had a really fun day, and we really love Mommy a lot, and we're going to leave her alone for a while. Because Daddy just got home!

You are hilarious - and MUCH nicer than I am - because I put a hold on ALL gift cards and Christmas money until at least March - so they would actually play with the toys they just received...so your kids WILL nominate you for Mommy of the New Year - mine? Just beg me to go back to school - which they are already doing! :)

Kathryn and Emma,
We have the same Mean Old Mom as you do. They probably went to the same school on how to be mean. Daddy cannot wait to play games, give you a bath, read books to you, turn you upside down, get your juice and lay down with you, to tickle your back, until you fall asleep. It is what God made Daddies for...
He only made Mommies so that you could be dressed cute....and to find your special bear when it gets lost.
Love,
Bella and Lexie

Amy-if your not careful you will turn into that lady that pushes her 19 year old in a wheel chair cause she won't walk through the lines at Disney! Get Emma outta that thing-SHE'S 6?!?!?!

Keeping it real in NY,
Traci

E & K-
Hang in there girls, your big sisters will be home soon to offset her aggressions.

Thanks for the laugh! I needed that after changing the huge messy diaper Katie had waiting for me first thing this morning. And then while I was rinsing her pj's in the sink she dumped water all over herself from a cup left on the side of the tub!!
