Dear Daddy, Vol III

Well you should be so happy that you weren't home last night because it was quite a mess!! One of us might have put a little too much toilet paper in the potty and then one of us might have said a little too quietly to Mommy that we thought something was wrong with the potty, but since she just kept eating her dinner one of us might have thought it was no big deal. And then when she walked to the study she said some very naughty things because there was water EVERYWHERE!

Well you know how mom gets, she FREAKS OUT! So she called Mr. Mike because she had no idea how to turn the potty off. He ran over here super fast and helped Mommy out. And then they just stood there and shook their heads. Seems like there were about two inches of water all over the powder bath floor and it was spilling into the hallway and was seeping through the walls to the laundry room, the garage and the study.

Mommy was definitely FREAKING OUT about the study because there was a power cord strip right in the middle of a puddle of water. But Mommy seemed to be more concerned about her wood floors getting warped than getting electrocuted. It's a good thing we learned how to call 911 in school. Just in case. And she forgot for a moment that she had a bad back because she lifted a very heavy box with years of photos in them and she seemed a little sad about that. Said she hoped all our memories were okay because the bottom of the box was pretty wet. Oh and she lifted a filing cabinet too. Mommy was not very smart.

Well Mr. Mike borrowed Mr. David's wet vac and went to work. Mommy was soaking up water with every towel in the house. And then Mr. Joe came over with his wet vac and it was so loud. So of course we had to turn the radio way up because we couldn't hear our Kids Bop 12 CD and we were trying to have a dance party with Taber and Danica while their daddies were working.

Alli finally got Mommy to stop working so much and she started cleaning up the floors. And then Mommy started FREAKING OUT because she needed to check the carpet in the closet under the stairs. You know the one where Kathryn plays? Well the carpet seemed a little damp so we had to work on that too.

Mommy was just plain exhausted. She started laughing hysterically. She said well when it rains it pours, and I guess when it flushes it floods. We thought that was pretty silly. And then she said why can't anything bad happen when your Daddy is home? And then we realized how much we miss you. Well then Mommy took a couple of very big white pills because she said she had been pretty stupid earlier and was hurting pretty badly. She let Alli and Abby tuck us in bed, and guess what Daddy, we didn't brush our teeth, heehee!

So anyway Daddy, it was pretty crazy. Mommy said that Mr. Mike and Mr. Joe are her heroes and thank God for good neighbors! But we're ready for you to come home, just in case. So if you want to take an earlier flight, we wouldn't mind and we're sure Mommy wouldn't either!

See you real soon!

Love,
Emma and Kathryn

Ya know it sounds like a chaotic night, but when it is from the mouth of a child it almost seems sweet! :) Good luck with your floors and photos!

OMG, this sounds WAY too familiar! Insurance told us our carpet had to be ripped out, luckily the new one was installed yesterday and the mess is finally over with!

Ohhhhhhh! This happened to us
one Christmas Eve a few years
ago, what a mess! I vowed to get rid of the dinosauer when it kept running on! I swear it kept me
up at night thinking it was going
to flood the house, while we were
asleep! Finally this summer it
went to toilet heaven. I can sleep
now - well sometimes! Good luck
with the mess, my thoughts are
with you!

I think your housekeeper sabotaged you. Quite a coincidence that it happened the day after she quit, isn't it? Hope your back is better!

You gals are funny! As much as I would love to blame the housekeeper, she hasn't been here in two weeks. Which is why I'm ticked she couldn't clean my house one last time!
No, I think it's a little munchkin who forgot that it does not require a whole half a roll of tp to wipe one's booty!

Wow! What a mess. Glad your neighbors could help out. I'd be taking BIG WHITE PILLS too if that happened to me!

Emma & Kathryn,

I think our daddies have been gone the same amount of time which means that our mommies must be the same amount of crazy right now as well.

Too bad that we have school to worry about--We could have just hunkered down at one our houses and had a real party!
