Our Day at the Tourist Traps

You know for a "kid-friendly" restaurant, The Rainforest Cafe sure scares the heck out of a bunch of kids!! This is Kathryn's classic defense move.

And it makes perfect sense if you think about it. She does not cover her eyes, oh no, she wants to keep an eye on whatever is frightening her. But dangit she is not going to listen to it!

The Rainforest Cafe did a little remodeling since we were there last. Seems the Adventure River Ride wasn't enough of a money-sucking distraction (yes, we rode it, AGAIN!). No, they had to go and put a Build A Bear in there as well. But it's not your ordinary, run of the mill mall version, this one has tropical animals. So of course the girls all had to stop and get one. And dress them to the nines, and come up with original names like Freddy the Flamingo and Ella the Elephant.

Then we went to Schlitterbahn and had a GREAT time!!! We figured out the secret, go at 3 when everyone else is leaving. Then you get a front row parking space and short lines. But please keep it to yourself, because if you go and tell everyone the secret, then it negates all the things that made it such a fabulous afternoon for us.

Sorry though, no picture. My camera didn't make that trip, no waterproof case. They did snap one of us but it was not a purchase. It had nothing to do with the way I was holding Emma, squeezing my stomach into a very unflattering position. Nothing at all. I mean my tummy was flat as can be considering the two Volcanoes ordered at lunch. Emma wasn't smiling, that's the reason. Yep, that was it.

Sounds like fun! I LOVE the Kathryn pic, that's EXACTLY what Ben does!! Thanks for the explanation, I always wondered why he didn't just close his eyes ;)

What cute cousins and their new stuffed friends! I love your rational for not buying the water park picture! :)
