Good Evening, Mrs. Mom. Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to make this playroom a fun and entertaining place for 4 girls ranging in ages 12 to 2. I warn you this is a very dangerous mission! You first must wade through piles of neglected and abused toys. However, you must be very covert while doing so because your enemies will thwart you at every turn, trying to save every headless Barbie, unmatched Bratz shoe, and puzzle with missing pieces. Luckily you have a double agent in their midst who would love nothing more than to not be stepping on Polly Pocket pieces as well. Use her to your advantage! She will throw toys away and distract the hostiles while you are engaged on your task.
You must paint the room, finding colors pleasing to all. You must come up with a definitive space plan with areas for tv, toys, and computers. You must have a place for everything and everything in its place. You must install a high tech shock collar system to remind the enemy that clean up time is a must!
Go forth Mrs. Mom and set out on your mission. It will kill your back and test your sanity! You may not survive! But if you do, and you are successful, the enemy will be happy in their own space and stop invading yours! Good luck!
This message will self destruct in 3, 2, 1...

you are so crafty!! Love this blog!!
Can't wait to see what you decide to do...I love HGTV...you can be my friend-version! :) IKEA loves the container, PB Kids, rocks with shelving...good luck!
I thoroughly applaud this mission. I would be so perfect at getting rid of some of that stuff as you well know. But don't try to make a perfect plan that will last forever. They don't exist with growing children. Keep flexibility in mind, with components that can be changed without having to redo the whole thing again.

I say you need to watch alot of Mission:Organization and Margaret's favorite show Clean Sweep for inspiration.
Only you can start a playroom fire!
